Important

  • Used phones previously connected to another PBX system need to be reset first. See how to do this here.
  • If it’s an old phone, you might have to upgrade its firmware to the latest 3CX supported version. See how to do this here.
  • Yealink T32G and T38G are marked as EOL and can only be provisioned manually, see here.
  • Note: If you don't want to use RPS, you have to enter the provisioning URL into the phone via its web interface. The phone will be configured automatically and then restart. Use the DHCP option 66 if you have a large number of identical legacy phones (as the URL is different for each phone).

About the Yealink T3 series

Yealink T3 series is designed for daily voice communications maximising productivity and enhancing collaboration for businesses of various scales. This series of cost-effective entry-level IP phones features superior HD audio, EHS wireless headset support and integration with the Yealink Device Management Platform.

  • T33P/G: Includes a 2.4” color LCD screen with backlight and adjustable brightness, 12 memory keys, 4 line keys and 4 SIP accounts. Costs in the region of $63.
  • T31P/G: Entry-level phone. With a 2.3” graphical LCD screen with backlight and adjustable brightness, 2 line keys, 2 memory keys and 2 SIP accounts. Costs in the region of $50.
  • T30P: Single-line entry level IP phone. With a 2.3” graphical LCD screen and 1 SIP account. Costs in the region of $40.

Step 1: Identify your exact Yealink T3 and MAC address

Be sure you follow the steps for the right phone model. You can find the model at the bottom panel of your phone.

Yealink T3 MAC address

The MAC address can be found on the label at the back of the handset, or by pressing the “Menu or OK > Status” on the phone. Take a note of the MAC address, you will need this for the configuration.

Step 2: Login to the Admin Console

  1. Login to your 3CX Web Client and go to “Admin”.
  2. Select the “User” for which you want to add a phone and go to the “IP Phone” tab.
  3. Click “Configure a phone”.

Step 3: Configure your Yealink T30P, T31P/G/W, T33P/G, T34W 

You need to know if 3CX is in the cloud or not. If you have 3CX hosted by 3CX or you have 3CX FREE/SMB, then your 3CX is in the cloud.

3CX is in the cloud

You must have at least one router phone on your network or an SBC configured. See a list of router phones here or follow this guide on how to install an SBC.

  1. Choose your Yealink T3 series model from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter the phone’s MAC address and click “Next”.
  3. Select “Connect via SBC / router phone” and specify your SBC or router phone, then click “Add Phone”.

3CX is on-premise

  1. Choose your Yealink T3 series model from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter the phone’s MAC address and click “Next”.
  3. Select “Local LAN / VPN”, then click “Add Phone”.

Step 4: Connect the phone

  1. Connect the phone to the network within 14 days.
  2. If it is already connected, restart it.
  3. The phone will be configured automatically.
