Important

Step 1: Setup the snom M700 DECT in 3CX

Setup the snom M700 DECT in 3CX

  1. Go to “Admin > Voice and Chat”.
  2. Click on “+Add Dect”.
  3. If your installation is on-premise, you will also need to choose where the base station is located.
  4. Select in office if the base station is on the same network as the PBX.
  5. If your instance is in the cloud or out of the office, select a router phone or SBC behind which it will work. Important: The “Router Phone” or SBC must be up and running.
  6. Now, select your model and enter the device’s MAC address.
  7. Click “Next”.
  8. Now Assign users to your DECT base station.

Step 2: Create the M700 base station

Create the M700 base station

  1. Open the web UI.
  2. Go to “Servers > Add Server”.
  3. Set your “Server Alias”
  4. “Registrar”: Enter your PBX’s FQDN. It’s the “Registrar hostname or IP” accompanied by the “Registrar SIP Port” ex. Your.public.fqdn:5060
  5. If you are using an SBC, enter the local IP address and Port of your 3CX SBC in the “Outbound Proxy” field .
  6. Press save at the bottom of the page

Step 3: Enter the SIP credentials for each handset

  1. Go to “Extensions > Add extension”.
  2. Fill in the following with the info you retrieved from 3CX above:
  1. “Line name”: The Extension’s number
  2. “Extension”: The Extension’s number
  3. “Authentication User Name”: The Authentication ID
  4. “Authentication Password”
  5. “Display name”: The name of the user
  6. “Server”: choose the server you created on the previous step.
  7. Press Save
  1. Repeat this procedure to add more extensions.
  2. Now you are ready to pair your Handset.
