Manually Configuring your EOL Snom IP Phone
Snom 300, 320, 360 and 370 models
Important
The Snom 300, 320, 360, 370, 820, 821, 870, MP end of life (EOL) IP phones cannot be provisioned securely via 3CX. You can still use these phones, but they must be manually configured. Keep in mind:
- You cannot re-provision or reboot the phone remotely.
- You cannot upgrade the firmware.
- Be sure to use the suggested AUTH ID and password by 3CX as these passwords are very secure.
- Used phones that were previously connected to another PBX system need to be reset first. See how to do this here.
- Final firmware for Snom 8 series: 8.7.5.44, Snom: 820 8.7.5.35, Snom MP: 8.7.5.48.
Step 1: Setup the snom IP phone in 3CX

- Go to the “User” for which you want to add the phone.
- Go to the “IP Phone” tab. Click “Configure a phone” to add a phone.
- Select Generic IP Phone.
- Select “Normal Phone” and enable the option to “Configure your phone manually without provisioning”
- A pop-up window will appear with the Authentication ID and Password. Depending on your installation you will also see:
- If on the local network: The 3CX Phone System FQDN and Port number
