How to Configure a Grandstream Speaker /Paging GSC35 device

About the Grandstream GSC35 paging devices

The GSC3500 Series provides intercom and paging capabilities for interior areas such as office buildings, businesses, schools, hospitals, shopping malls, residential settings, warehouses, and other similar establishments. GSC3505: The GSC3505 is the ideal SIP speaker for any setting thanks to its cutting-edge industrial appearance and plenty of functions. It features an 8-Watt HD speaker with HD audio, supports Bluetooth devices, integrated dual-band Wi-Fi, SIP and multicast paging, as well as built-in whitelists and blacklists that make it simple to reject nuisance calls. Step 1: Identify your exact Grandstream GSC intercom /paging device and MAC address

Be sure you follow the steps for the right phone model. You can find the model and the MAC address on the label at the back of the phone. Take a note of the MAC address, you will need this for the configuration.

Step 2: Factory Reset the SIP speaker’s public address

1. Press and hold the “Reset” button for 15 seconds and then release.
2. The center LED will start blinking red.
3. The device will restart and reset to factory settings.

Step 3: Login to the Admin Console

1. Login to your 3CX Web Client and go to “Admin”.
2. Select the “User” for which you want to add a phone and go to the “IP Phone” tab.
3. Click “Configure a phone”.

Step 4: Configure your Grandstream Paging Device

You need to know if 3CX is in the cloud or not. If you have 3CX hosted by 3CX or you have 3CX FREE or 3CX SMB, then your 3CX is in the cloud.

3CX is in the cloud

You will need to have at least one router phone on your network or an SBC configured. See a list of router phones here or follow this guide on How to install an SBC.

1. Choose your Grandstream speaker / paging device from the drop-down menu.
2. Enter the phone’s MAC address without dashes or colons, and click “Add phone”.
3. Specify your SBC or router phone.
4. Connect the phone to the network within 14 days.
5. If it is already connected, restart it.
6. The phone will be configured automatically.

3CX is on premise

1. Select where your phone will be located.

1. Outside the office (Remote)
2. In the office (Local)

2. Choose your  Grandstream speaker / paging device from the drop-down menu.
3. Enter the phone’s MAC address without dashes or colons, and click “Add phone”.
4. If you selected “Outside the office” specify the router phone or SBC.
5. Connect the phone to the network within 14 days. If it is already connected, restart it.
6. The phone will be configured automatically.
