How to configure Grandstream GXP Series
Important
- This guide applies to GXP 1610, 1615, 1620, 1625, 1628, 1630, 1760, 1760W, 1780, 1782, 2130, 2135, 2140, 2160, 2170.
- Used phones previously connected to another PBX system need to be reset first. See how to do this here.
- If it’s an old phone, you might have to upgrade its firmware to the latest 3CX supported version.
- Note: If you don't want to use RPS, you have to enter the provisioning URL into the phone via its web interface. The phone will be configured automatically and then restart. Use the DHCP option 66 if you have a large number of identical legacy phones (as the URL is different for each phone).
- Known Limitations
- The first two keys are configured as line keys (via the template), and can't be changed, otherwise the phone will not be able to make calls
- Only the GXP2140 and GXP2170 models support the expansion modules
- GXP1630 only: In the Extension Settings, you should set the first BLF to be assigned to a Line Key, otherwise the phone will not be able to make calls
- GXP16 series models don't support the expansion modules and logo provisioning
