Configuring 3CX Live Chat for Weebly
To add 3CX Live Chat to your Weebly site, copy the code snippet from either the 3CX Web Client or Management Console. Paste the code into the web pages on which you want to have the live chat box appear or put it in the footer to have it site-wide.
Configuration Steps
Step 1: Obtain your code snippet
3CX FREE/SMB
During the sign-up process, you may have copied the code snippet. If not, you can obtain it as follows:
- Log into your 3CX Web Client and navigate to “Office Settings”
- Click on “Voice & Chat” then click on the information icon
- Copy the HTML code, save it to a notepad and proceed to step 2.
3CX Self-Hosted/Dedicated
- Navigate to “Messaging > Live Chat” in the Management Console.
- Create your live chat link. Follow this guide for more information.
- Click on the ‘i’ button, then copy the HTML code. Save it to a notepad and proceed to step 2.
Step 2: Add the snippet to your site
- Login to your Weebly administration and click on “Edit Site”.
- From the left menu drag ‘n’ drop the component “Embed Code” to any empty space in your theme. (suggested location is in the footer of the page, in order to be always available).
- On the added component click on “Edit Custom HTML”.
- Paste the code snippet into the text box.
- Click “Publish” on the top right corner.
