Configuring 3CX Live Chat for Squarespace

To add 3CX Live Chat to your Squarespace site, copy the code snippet from the 3CX Web Client or Management Console. Paste the code into the web pages on which you want to have the live chat box appear or put it in the footer to have it site-wide.

Prerequisites

Subscription to the Business, Commerce Basic, or Commerce Advanced plan.

Configuration Steps

Step 1: Obtain your code snippet

3CX FREE/SMB

Live Chat 3CX Web Client (Voice and Chat)

During the sign-up process, you may have copied the code snippet. If not, you can obtain it as follows:

  1. Log into your 3CX Web Client and navigate to “Office Settings”
  2. Click on “Voice & Chat” then click on the information icon
  3. Copy the HTML code, save it to a notepad and proceed to step 2.
3CX Self-Hosted/Dedicated

3CX Management Console Live Chat config

  1. Navigate to “Messaging > Live Chat” in the Management Console.
  2. Create your live chat link. Follow this guide for more information
  3. Click on the ‘i’ button, then copy the HTML code. Save it to a notepad and proceed to step 2.

Step 2: Add the snippet to your site

3CX Live chat - Squarespace. Enter the HTML Live chat code into the footer section

  1. Login to your website.
  2. Go to “Settings > Advanced > Code Injection”.
  3. In the “Footer” section paste the code snippet.
