Configuring a Callcentric SIP Trunk
Step 1: Sign up to create your Callcentric SIP trunk
Callcentric automatically creates a SIP trunk for you during sign up. Once you’ve completed your registration you’ll receive an email with the SIP login details. This SIP trunk is assigned a free 1777XXXXXXX number. This number can ONLY make and receive calls to other free callcentric numbers. The number is also your “Authentication ID”. To make calls to other numbers you must enable “Outbound Calling” and select a plan. To receive calls you must buy a number.
Notes:
- A number is provided during plan selection. It can be used as a Caller ID. This lets users call you back.
- Only numbers bought from Callcentric can be used as caller IDs.
Step 2: Configuring your SIP trunk with 3CX
- Go to the 3CX Web Client and follow the guide on how to configure a SIP trunk.
- The main trunk number must be in international format. For example if your number is 1(777)881-1960, it should be entered as 17778811960.
