Configuring 3CX Live Chat for Drupal
Introduction
The 3CX Live chat software allows you to answer calls and messages from website visitors directly from 3CX. Read more about the Live Chat solution.
Step 1: Obtain your Code Snippet
During the 3CX Live Chat set-up process, you may have copied the code snippet. If not, you can obtain it as follows:
- Log into your 3CX Web Client and navigate to “Admin”
- Click on “Voice & Chat”, find your “Live Chat” and click on the information icon
- Copy the HTML code, save it to a notepad and proceed to step 2.
Step 2: Install the 3CX Live Chat Plugin for Drupal
- Navigate to the Drupal extension directory listing for 3CX Live Chat
- Scroll to the bottom of the listing page and click on “Releases 1.0.0”
- Download the zip file
- Log in to your Drupal administrator portal
- From the top navigation bar, select “Extend”
- Select “+ Install New Module”, upload the zip file and click “Continue”
- Once completed, click on “Enable newly added modules”
- Use the filter search box and type in ‘3CX’ to display the module
- Tick the box on the entry and click “Install”. Ensure that the confirmation message is displayed.
Step 3: Add the Snippet to your Site
- Navigate to “Structure” and then select “Block Layout”
- Scroll down to “Footer” and click “Place block”
- Within the pop-up, click “Place block” next to the 3CX Live Chat block entry
- Paste your code snippet obtained during step 1 and set your “Visibility” settings
- Click “Save block” and again “Save blocks” at the end of the list.
